City Savvy Explorers offers exciting new experiences designed for pre-teens ready to embrace independence and adventure. Founded by a mom and seasoned teacher, our program was born from a desire to help her own child build confidence while safely and mindfully navigating the city.

We understand that NYC families lead busy, over-scheduled lives, leaving little time to explore and truly experience the city as a tourist would. That’s why we created City Savvy Explorers—blending the thrill of discovery with real-world skills to help rising teens gain confidence, independence, and a deeper appreciation for their surroundings.

Meet the Director

With 20 years of teaching experience and a deep passion for education, I bring a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to City Savvy Explorers. As a longtime educator and Brooklyn mom to a 10-year-old, I understand the importance of fostering independence, confidence, and curiosity in adolescents.

My goal is to create dynamic and engaging experiences where pre-teens can develop essential life skills, explore their surroundings, and build meaningful connections.

New York City is an incredible place to live and grow up, and I am dedicated to helping young people navigate its opportunities with confidence—whether through mastering public transportation, embracing new challenges, or discovering their own inner compass.
